SUNBURN


Salicylic Acid: Is specific for sunburn. 

(Note: Urtica Urens ointment may be applied on the burnt part.)

Aconite: With anxiety and fear of death. Patient dull, stupid and worse sitting up.

Gelsemium: Vertigo; band feeling around head with heaviness of eyelids. Pain in temple extending into ear and wing of nose. Delirious; wants to have head raised on pillow.

Opium 200: When there is coma and fatigue. This should be tried after Belladonna.

Glonoine: Severe headache with pale face, fixed eyes, white tongue, full round pulse, laboured respiration, cerebral vomiting and sinking at the pit of the stomach. High temperature with unconsciousness at times. Give this every 5 minutes first then increase interval.

Belladonna: Headache with face flushed and hot, drowsiness, loss of consciousness. Perspiration on covered parts. Whistling in the ears and constriction of the chest.

Natrum Mur: Chronic effects of sun-stroke with headache returning in hot weather. Debility and headache by sun heat.

Lachesis: When the sun's heat makes the patient dizzy and faint. Hot water greatly fatigues.
